Summary of the Position: The Legal Executive Assistant  will report to the In-House Attorney and will help prepare contracts and assist in providing legal guidance to the company in order to identify legal risks and protect the company against such risks

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Follow the Contract Request/Review Policy including taking the necessary steps to ensure the process stays within the applicable timing under the policy
  • Ensure all contract forms are completed and followed in accordance with company policy
  • When necessary, communicate with the appropriate department to obtain missing information
  • Prepare drafts or review contracts within the time requested 
  • Assist with litigation/dispute matters by conducting case law research and analyzing the strengths/weaknesses of a potential case
  • Negotiate with outside third party vendors as necessary
  • Communicate with and obtain review by the insurance broker as required on contracts that have or require liability and/or insurance terms and conditions
  • Review the list of pending contracts, establish priorities and schedule weekly workload and objectives with In-House Attorney
  • Consult with the In-House Attorney on any new developments, hitches or misunderstandings between departments concerning current and finished projects
  • Notify In-House Attorney of any mistakes or problems identified with any signed contracts in order to mitigate any potential damages
  • Perform other assigned duties as may be required in meeting company objectives
  • Communicate effectively with other departments within the organization and function within a team environment.


Minimum Requirements:  Familiarity with standard practices and procedures of contract and business law. Excellent organizational and oral communication skills.proficient in Microsoft Office. Knowledge and understanding of social media, including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, etc. a plus .Ability to identify legal issues.Knowledge of USPTO and USPTO filings is a plus

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years experience as a paralegal.Experience in reviewing and drafting agreements with knowledge of intellectual property law, UCC transactions, contract law, tort law and litigation
